  • ETH alumni, library customers and guests who are not members of ETH Zurich:
    Please contact the library staff at the InfoCenter of the ETH Library  InfoCenter  in person to obtain a for your login. Please register Register in advance via at libraries.ch.
  • Guests Customers who already have a login for the public workstations research stations at the ETH Library:
    You you can use this login for the eE-lending platform. No additional registration is required.Lending platform, and will not need to register separately.
  • Members of ETH Zurich:
    You can access do not use the E-Lending service, but access licensed e-books  in the ETH Zurich network.

Please note that all no other university logins are not valid.

E-book search

You can access the e-lending service The E-Lending content can be found by searching in the  ETH Library 's Search Portal. In the tab “Books, journals and more” you can filter @ swisscovery research portal.

Alternatively, you can use the advanced search function to search specifically for borrowable e-books available for borrowing.

If you wish would like to view the see details (table of contents, etc.) of the selected e-book, simply click on the title of the e- book. Then click on the link “Access via eE-lending” Lending” to borrow the book.

You will now switch be taken to the ProQuest platform of the ProQuest aggregator. Customers who are not members of ETH Zurich should select will need to choose the option libraries.ch" in in the selection window.

You can now read the e-book online, download single individual chapters permanently as a PDF files or borrow the whole e- book for up to 8 eight days.

You can download the e-books to your computer. This means that they are also available offline for the duration of the loan, which will enable you to read them offline during the loan period. You can also save individual chapters permanently.

The All e-books are always available in PDF format, and some are also available in ePub format. Please select the desired required format. (For further More information about ePub , see: from the International Digital Publishing Form).
