You can search all available catalogues without logging in. In some catalogues, however, it is possible to create a user account. Among other things, this gives you the opportunity to save search results.
To create a user account, click on "Login using credentials" on the welcome page and next on "Create account" in the new window. |

Alternatively, you can click on the icon with the head in the top right-hand corner of the catalogue. From here you also get to a window where you can click on "Create account". |

To create a user account, you must fill in the mandatory fields, accept the terms and conditions and click on "Create". You will then see a confirmation that an email has been sent to your email account for verification. |

Now check your email account, open the email with the sender e-pics-alvaneu12ba@library.ethz.ch or e-pics-alvaneu12@library.ethz.ch. Validate your email address by clicking on the button "Validate" or by clicking on the link at the bottom or by typing it into the internet. |

Now you can log in with your email address and password by clicking on "Login using credentials". Be aware: Only your email address can be used as "user name"! |

| If you forgot your password and the login does not work anymore, please click on "Reset password". |

In the next step, enter your email address. Again, please note that the username must always be your email address. Then click on "Send". A window will appear confirming that an email has been sent to you for the next steps. |

Kontrollieren Sie nun bitte Ihren Posteingang und auch den SPAM Ordner auf eine Email mit dem Absender e-pics-alvaneu12ba@library.ethz.ch. Die Email enthält einen Button (blau), um das Passwort zurückzusetzen. Alternativ können Sie auch auf den Link ganz unten klicken oder diesen in einen Browser eingeben. |

| Sie gelangen wieder auf die E-Pics Seite und müssen dort 2x das neue Passort eingeben. Anschliessend klicken Sie auf "Senden". |

| Es erscheint die Meldung, dass Ihr neues Passwort gespeichert wurde. Klicken Sie nun auf "Zurück zum Anfang". |

| Sie gelangen wieder zur Willkommensseite, wo Sie sich mit Klick auf "Als Nutzer einloggen" wie gewohnt einloggen können. |
